When uploading an item image and setting it as the thumbnail, if the image is not square, it will be distorted when displayed as the thumbnail. It would be nice if the system auto formatted thumbnails so the background canvas is square and then overlay the image to ensure no distortion. Or at minimum warn when uploading such images as they result in poor quality. Example attached. This image is much wider than tall.
